Marmalade Pantry @ Stables

At 55 Fairways Drive. Nestled amongst stables and fields and riding schools. One can also see a couple of horses up close - white, black and brown beauties.

The trip inwards to faraway Fairways Drive was interesting. The place pretty and that made up for the lacklustre but visually appealing afternoon tea.

PS Cafe at Dempsey

A birthday lunch
Great food and great ambience.

We had,
- tomato soup with sheep feta cheese and pesto.
- turkey cranberry sandwich that comes with a green salad with asparagus and beans.
- BBQ chicken salad with cous cous in orange vinaigrette, wolf berries, chicory veg, kale
- double chocolate cake.

Temaki party.

Temaki home party of handrolls.

Ushering in the new year. Also the Japanese new year.

Old Longhouse Popiah

Shop is at Toa Payoh and they do deliveries.

Take note that their original recipe does not use ground peanuts so if you like those, be sure to add them ($5!) to your delivery order.

Take note too that the beansprouts come raw so you need to blanch them in boiling water before you use them in your popiah.

The crispy fish bits add that distinct crunch to the popiah.

Their kueh pie tee shells are VERY fresh.

87th birthday

The birthday girl's 87, and in true style arrived late for the party. The family's grown, from a table and a half, to three!

At Gim Tim. The place we know as Mooi Chin Palace, harking to childhood days. A return to the 'hood where we grew up.
